My name is Jacklyn Halaburda. I am a Biochemistry and Masters of Management student at The University of British Columbia. This is a space to express my creativity and interests.

I am originally from Vancouver Island but now, I reside in Vancouver.

I am passionate about science and business and would love to pursue a career which combines the two.

Women in STEM

I am devoted to offering support and resources to young women pursuing careers in STEM disciplines. This devotion motivated me to join the UBC Women in Science club as an executive member where I held the title of Co-President.

 

Scientific Communication

There is a disconnect between science and society due to inefficient communication. I hope to help resolve this issue by blogging about scientific topics in a way which is understandable and relevant. See my blog page here.
